To help you make the most out of your trip, we’ve pulled together this helpful Survival Guide with all the essentials you might need while you’re hanging out with us. Whether you’re figuring out your way around the city or wondering when to hit up the bar for one last round, we’ve got it all right here, laid out nice and easy.We want you to have the absolute best time during your stay, so if you need anything, day or night, just pick up the phone next to your bed and dial 0. We’re here to make sure your stay is nothing short of awesome!

Us and our neighborhood

The Hoxton, Vienna finds its home close to Landstrasse, Vienna’s vibrant district blending history with modern charm. Explore iconic landmarks like Schönbrunn Palace and Hofburg Palace, or get lost on the streets filled with Baroque facades and elegant cafes. Discover artisanal boutiques, trendy bistros, and the bustling markets. Dive into the arts scene visiting galleries and theaters or treat yourself to a night at the Opera. The Hoxton’s central location invites endless exploration in Vienna’s dynamic 1030 neighbourhood.

No need to waltz through Vienna for miles. Nestled in the heart of the city, our hotel is easily accessible for both leisure and business travellers. We are conveniently located just a 10-minute stroll from Stephansplatz in the mesmerising inner city. Subways U3 and U4 are a stone’s throw away and can take you to hip & bustling 6th and 7th districts, where you can find lots of shops and restaurants that we highly recommend.

In the mood for exploring even further? Just take the trams 1, 2, or D to explore the Viennese Ringstrasse with its magnificent buildings, such as the Parliament, the University of Vienna, the Burgtheater, or City Hall.

Heading to the airport? The U4 will take you straight to the train station at Landstrasse.

Need a ride? Check out our taxi service partner or browse your standard rideshare apps (Vienna’s got Uber and Bolt).

You can also ask Reception to assist you with a cab booking, of course.

Unless otherwise asked bed linens are changed every 3 days during a stay, and towels are replaced only if on the floor. Doing what we can (one towel, or sheet) at a time.

It goes without saying, WiFi is free for all guests at The Hox. And if you’d like to make a good ol’ fashioned landline call, your first hour is free per day to pretty much anywhere except the moon.

For the Gym Bunny, there are plenty of great gyms and cool studios around us. Hit up Reception to get discounted passes to our favourites including Penthouse Sports, Fame Boxing, June Reformer Pilates, Supercycle and more.

Why not lace up your trainers and go for a run along the Ringstrasse? Experience the magnificent buildings like the Parliament, Burgtheater, City Hall, and more up close. 5,2km is too much? Just hop on tram 2 and let it drop you off at Weihburggasse station, just a 3-minute walk away from The Hoxton.

If you’re in a rush, fill out your details on the key card and pop it in the post box in the lobby and we will email you a copy of your bill before you get home.

Hit the Housekeeping speed dial button on your phone and we’ll happily bring you up an iron and a board.

There are bikes available for you to use for free during your stay. The team at the front desk will give you the lowdown. If they’re all in use, we’ll point you to the nearest local bike shop. 

Need A Lie In?

Get out of bed you sleepy head.

You get to choose your own check-in time for free with Flexy Time, which is available to anyone who books directly on our website up to 72 hours in advance. Otherwise, regular hotel check-in is 2pm.

Need a lie-in?

No problem, just let us know and you can stay for the bargain price for €10 an hour, up to 4pm (depending on availability). Of course, if you booked directly, you can check-out whenever you like with Flexy Time! Regular hotel check-out is 12pm. 

 

The Little Breakfast

Here’s the deal: we’ve got a daily breakfast bag that includes juice, fruit, and a morning treat, all delivered right to your room for just €5 per person. Easy as pie – just pack the bag, hang it on the hook outside your door, and voilà! Your morning pick-me-up will be waiting for you, ready to kickstart your day on the right note.

Tiny Hox for Survival Guide

Got little’uns in tow?

Tiny Hox has you covered. Whether you’re joining us with infants, toddlers or kids that are slightly older, we’ve put together all the essentials to see you through. All of our rooms fit cribs. If you need one free of charge, just dial 0 and we’ll bring it up.

For little’uns aged 0-2 years, all Tiny Hox stays come with a welcome tote, containing our Smallable x Hox colouring book and pencils, as well as the following by request: free Little’uns Breakfast Bag, family-approved neighbourhood map, kid-friendly menus in our lobby restaurants, bottle warmers, diaper pails, Coterie diapers and wipes (needed in a pinch), freezer space for milk and food, bath essentials (anti-slip shower mat, baby bath, baby soap and lotion), and board games curated by Smallable.

Hox Shop

Pop in our Hox Shop in the lobby where you can buy snacks and drinks at supermarket prices; Blank body products; or something from our Best Of collection, with limited-edition items by our favourite Vienna makers such as Teresa Berger, Astrid Deigner, Carola Pojer and Mühlbauer Hatmakers.

Rip-off-free fridge

No nasty bills at check-out here, we give you a rip-off-free mini-fridge stocked with fresh milk and water. What’s more, you can fill your fridge with savoury and sweet snacks from our Hox Shop at supermarket prices. 

Planning a party?

The Apartment on the mezzanine is a meeting and event space like no other. Each room is set up like a home away from home, based around a central Pantry Kitchen filled with treats to help yourself to. By day, it can host meetings of all sizes and by night, it’s a perfect venue for everything from intimate private dining events to large parties. Whatever the occasion, we’ll have the perfect space.
